Phase II generally consists of the following components:

  • Physical Fitness Test (PFT): This is a critical evaluation of your physical capabilities. The tests typically include:

      • Group 1: Up to 5 minutes 30 seconds (60 marks)

      • For female candidates, the timings are different (e.g., Group 1 up to 7 minutes 30 seconds, Group 2 up to 8 minutes).

    • Beam (Pull-Ups): Assesses upper body strength. Marks are awarded based on the number of pull-ups completed (e.g., 10 pull-ups for 40 marks, 6 pull-ups for 16 marks).

    • 9 Feet Ditch Jump: A qualifying test where you must clear a 9-foot ditch in a single leap.

    • Zig-Zag Balance: Another qualifying test to assess your balance and agility.

    • (For some categories or for female candidates, other tests like long jump and high jump may also be included).

  • Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Candidates who qualify the PFT will undergo the PMT to ensure they meet the prescribed physical standards. This includes:

    • Height: Minimum acceptable height (varies by region and category, generally around 152.5 cm for males).

    • Weight: Must be proportionate to your height and age as per Army standards.

    • Chest Measurement: Minimum chest circumference and a mandatory expansion of at least 5 cm upon inhalation.

  • Document Verification: This is a crucial step where all your original documents will be thoroughly checked against the information you provided in your application. You must carry all specified original documents along with multiple self-attested photocopies. Essential documents typically include:

    • Phase II Admit Card and Verified Phase I Admit Card

    • Duly filled Application Form (downloaded after online registration)

    • Educational Certificates and Mark Sheets (Class 10th, 12th, Diploma/Degree if applicable)

    • Domicile Certificate

    • Unmarried Certificate (for candidates below 21 years of age)

    • Aadhaar Card or other valid Photo ID proof

    • NCC Certificates (if applicable)

  • Medical Examination: This is a comprehensive medical check-up conducted by Army Medical Teams at the rally site or a designated Military Hospital. It includes a series of tests to ensure you are medically fit for service as per Army medical standards. Common tests include:

    • General physical examination

    • Vision and hearing tests (including color perception)

    • Blood tests (Haemogram, Blood Sugar, Serum Cholesterol, Urea, Uric Acid, Creatinine)

    • Urine test

    • Liver Function Tests (LFT)

    • Tests for Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Abuse

    • Examination for any deformities like knock knees, flat feet, varicose veins, etc.
